eSilver Tour Final Conference

22 June 2023

The eSilver Tour International Conference, held on June 21st, was a significant event organized in close collaboration with ISCE - Instituto Superior de Lisboa e Vale do Tejo. The conference focused on the theme of technological development, specifically in the field of digital marketing and its impact on the silver economy.

The keynote speaker for the event was Prof. Luiz Moutinho, a renowned expert in the field. Prof. Moutinho delivered a speech that explored the present and future of technological advancements, particularly in the context of digital marketing, and highlighted their significance and influence on the silver economy.

Furthermore, the project partners of the eSilver Tour, namely E-SENIORS from Paris, France, and 50 + HELLAS from Athens, Greece, presented the main outcomes and achievements of the project. The conference also featured António Pina from AidLearn, who introduced the B-Learning platform.

This platform is presumably an innovative educational tool that combines elements of both traditional face-to-face learning and online learning (hence the "B" in B-Learning) to provide an enhanced learning experience. Its relevance to the silver economy and how it can contribute to the development of digital skills among older adults might have been discussed during the presentation.

The concluding segment of the conference focused on showcasing the best practices of senior tourism in Portugal. Dr. Elsa Caramujo, representing the Inatel Foundation, and Dr. Luís Jacob, representing Rutis, shared their organizations' experiences and successful initiatives in the field of senior tourism.

The event likely fostered collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the exploration of new possibilities for leveraging technology and tourism to enhance the lives of older adults.
